Sunday 8th May 2010 saw Stag and Hen Manchester exhibiting at the Cresta Court Hotel Altrincham Wedding Fayre. We made the decision to come down after a ringing endorsement from a group of Altrincham ladies who came on a hen weekend the weekend before.

“I’m still smiling now at how well it went and the fun that we had....and will be for a long time. We had comfort knowing that we could phone any of you to help solve a problem...even better that we didn’t need to. It will be a weekend to remember for all of us for the rest of our lives.”

We arrived early to discover we were in pride of place in one of three suites full of wedding suppliers and set up our stand as normal. The doors opened at 11am and the brides flooded in. The majority of them bringing their bridesmaids along with them and immediately deputised them to come talk to us about that perfect weekend in Manchester 30 minutes drive north.

The usual suspects kept cropping up. Firstly and foremostly that hen favourite the Manchester Spa Day or day in a health club and spa in Manchester and that hen party mecca the Manchester Birdcage. Some family hen parties were discussed as well with the idea of a champagne afternoon tea in Cloud 23 coming quite high up on the list of mothers of the bride and bridesmaids when they were involved.

Now the end of the Premier League Season happened to fall on this particular wedding fayre day so the stags that had come/been dragged out to the Altrincham Wedding Fayre needed cheering up and we did that with offers of complimentary limo ride to Manchester’s finest gentlemens club with free entry inside for any party they booked with us – out of earshot of the bride though!! That seemed to do the trick. Twin that with an array of adrenalin hunter activities like indoor skydiving, Manchester paintball and Manchester luging and Manchester tubing and they went home happier!

The bridal show at 1pm went off without a hitch and numerous stunning brides showed off the latest fashions and jewellery- (pictures) and we were proud to be part of the event that included wedding planners, florists, make up, jewellers, photographers, table linen providers and obligatory chocolate fountain provider.

We were disappointed to leave at 3pm but had to and went off home to start preparing proposals for those that wanted them from the fayre. Bring on Worcester Wedding Fayre later in the month as we thoroughly enjoy meeting all you stags and hens face to face.
