For the second year in a row our fantastic city has come top of all UK cities in a list compiled by the Economic Intelligence Unit of the best places to live. And hey if its great to live in we think it is even more awesome to visit for a Manchester Stag Night or Manchester Hen Party. We might be biased a bit but hey its difficult to argue with the logic.

Manchester came in at 42nd place three higher than last year and well and truly beat London into second as it only came in at 53rd place. So why is the city so great to live in and visit for your Manchester Stag Weekend and Manchester Hen Weekend?

2011 Chester Racecourse Wedding Fayre

It is that time of year again and after a very successful time meeting all you stags and hens in Chester last year we are heading back to the Racecourse tomorrow for the 2011 Chester Racecourse Wedding Fayre. We had a great time last year and are really excited to see you all tomorrow.

Stag Party Stripper Nightmare - Avoid With Our Special Offer

We were recently contacted by a guy who had come to Manchester for his stag do and had rather an unfortunate experience with a stripper his mates had organised for him. This inspired us to get a group of university students to recreate his awful experience and contrast with one he would have had if his mates had used us and our local contacts. Snow Days, Manchester Christmas Market and Stags and Hens Ain't No April Fools

The snow has hit the country again and Manchester has been no exception. A snow day – Well sort of has allowed us to catch up on a couple of matters.

Manchester Christmas Markets

Firstly we strapped on our hardiest walking boots and strode out to the station to get the train into Manchester to explore our famous and hugely popular Christmas markets. Passing through a wintry Piccadilly Gardens we ended up at the first Christmas market we planned to visit at Exchange Square.

As the official Christmas Markets website says "No Mancunian winter is complete without a wander through the chalet-lined streets of Manchester's famous Christmas market. "So if you are planning a Christmassy Manchester Hen Nights or Hen Weekends in Manchester we strongly suggest these markets form an important part of your plans.

Over 8 different spaces there is a huge variety of goods on offer from gifts, crafts, arts and toys to the always popular and ever delicious array of food on offer at the German Christmas market at St Anns Square opposite the town hall. The Stag and Hen Manchester team always make a point of going down for some Dutch mini pancakes, French Profiteroles, hot chocolate, Gluhwein, roasted chestnuts, Waffles and anything else we can fit in. We are heading back in again a week Friday

The team and especially our lovely hen specialist Sharon loves the Craft and Gift market on Exchange street aswell where she has picked up many a silly hat, specially made bag or stunning bespoke jewellery.

This week on the blog we wanted to talk about Stag and Hen Manchester’s motto and that motto is “Flexibility is Key” – Unlike other companies out there we will book any and all combinations of activities, accommodation and nightlife passes as we can appreciate everyone has different needs.

Taking this weekend as an example Rebekah and her hens had already booked their own hen accommodation in Manchester and therefore only wanted activities and nightlife passes. So what did we do? Manchester Hen Weekend Heaven

Last weekend saw two groups of hens come to Manchester for their Hen Weekends and they really managed to illustrate what a great central location Manchester is – Jocelyn and her hens who came up from Devon on the South coast and Jana and her hens who came down from County Durham in Northern England. Location wasn’t the only difference in the groups though as whilst Jocelyn and her friends enjoyed a cocktail masterclass and meal at the Hard Rock Cafe, Jana was treated to cocktails served by her Butler in the Buff, Phil, in their city centre apartments.

Jocelyn’s Hen Party

For only £141 per hen Jocelyn’s group enjoyed a full Manchester Spa day at our exclusive 5* Hen Spa in the city centre on the Saturday followed by a Manchester cocktail masterclass and yummy three course meal at the UK’s largest Hard Rock Cafe in Manchester’s popular Printworks nightlife complex. To finish their Saturday off we organised a Manchester Hen night out to remember with FREE Q jump passes to Tiger Tiger, Henry J Beans and Manchester’s only city centre superclub PURE. Then it was back to their 3* hotel for a good night's sleep and a full English breakfast in the morning before a trip back home.

Jana’s Hen Party

For only £124 per hen Jana’s group enjoyed a couple of hours in a Manchester Pole Party, the company of Phil a Butler in the Buff who helped serve drinks in their apartment for a couple of hours before they went out, FREE Q jump passes to Tiger Tiger, Henry J Beans and Manchester’s only city centre superclub PURE and then after breakfast the following morning the group enjoyed a full Manchester Spa day at our exclusive 5* Hen Spa in the city centre that Jocelyn’s group had visited the previous day. Jana’s group had booked accommodation themselves and we were happy to be flexible enough to allow them to just book activities with us and even split their group into different numbers on Saturday and Sunday which each Hen only paying for what they enjoyed.
