June 17th Important Date to Consider for Stag and Hen Parties in Manchester
June 17th doesn’t seem like it is an important date in the world of stags and hens and Manchester but it actually very much is. Why you ask? Well put simply it heralds the announcement of the fixtures for the next season of the Barclays Premier League and in particular the home fixtures for Manchester United for the next season of the Barclays Premier League .
This impacts on all you stags and hens out there as due to the invasion of 75,000 mad keen Manchester United football fans the city centre hotels ideal for use during a Manchester Stag Party or Manchester Hen Weekend immediately see a large increase in demand for hotel rooms and therefore immediately increase their prices.
This means that Stag and Hen Manchester can no longer pass on the benefit of our cheaper rates at these ideal city centre hotels on these particular weekends to you and your ideal stag or hen party plan will suddenly become more expensive which nobody wants.
Well, how do you avoid such a situation?, I hear you ask. Put simply you do one of two things:-
1. Visit our stag, hen or sten and hag accommodation pages to ascertain when planning your party whether or not your preferred dates fall on any of the weekends in Manchester where city centre hotels are either unavailable or horribly expensive.
Stag Accommodation - Dates to Be Aware Of
Hen Accommodation- Dates to Be Aware Of
Sten and Hag Accommodation- Dates to Be Aware Of
If it does simply change it to a weekend that doesn’t see a Manchester United game or major event.
If you are unable to change it due to your stags or hens commitments then simply move onto our second point.
2. Don’t despair!! Allow us to source you some stag or hen friendly accommodation within the near vicinity of the city centre but not actually in it. We have scoured the nearby areas for accommodation that has rooms on for example weekends where Manchester United play at home and is within easily reach of the town centre.
What do we define as within easy reach of the town centre? - well Stag and Hen Manchester define it as within walking distance of a tram or train stop, on a bus route or within a £15 taxi ride away from the town centre. Its accommodation where you will have to get in and out of town but it is chosen because of how it lessons that irritation of doing that very thing for your group. We have also been known to provide a minibus to a group at a very reasonable cost for use during their Manchester Stag Weekend or Manchester Hen Weekend which helps get to and from activities and the hotel and then the nights out and the hotel.
What is most important to us is you end up with a fantastic and memorable event at the right price and we will work with you every step of the way to achieve that goal. If you are still not sure visit our testimonials pages written by Stags and Hens who have used our company previously as they are the best judges after all!

Est at Trafford Centre - An Italian Delight at the Trafford Centre
Stag and Hen Manchester has spent a lot of time on the delights of the city centre of Manchester has to offer but has now decided to let all you prospective stags and hens know about the delights that are within approximately fifteen minutes drive/minibus ride away. A lot of people in this regard get put off by activities that are this far out as they feel it is too much effort and money to get there but with our local transport firm Swinton Travel we keep those transport costs low leaving you money to enjoy at your activity or on the following night out.
Starting this series we are going to look at a hidden gem situated within the Trafford Centre located within the Orient in the food hall – “Est”. Perfect for lunch or dinner during or after a day of Manchester hen party shopping providing authentic Italian food and drinks Stag and Hen Manchester found it to be a little oasis of heaven amongst 60 other dining options . Marie the manager and her team stopped at nothing despite a full and heaving restaurant to make us feel really looked after which fits in with our customer service ethos at Stag and Hen Manchester.
We decided to go with a couple of options from the Focaccia Rosmarino as we weren’t in the mood for pizzas but looking around there were plenty of healthy pizzas being devoured and enjoyed. We opted for a Ciabatta Con Bistecca or in English toasted ciabatta bread topped with minute steak and roasted onions and served with fries and mustard in a pot and the classic Mozzarella E Prosciutto or in English mozzarella and prosciutto ham. At £8.75 and £6.75 respectively we certainly felt it was more than value for money and utterly delicious.
Following that we opted for the Torta Vaniglia or in English Baked Vanilla Cheesecake with strawberries and Cialda E Gelato or in English warm Belgian waffle topped with vanilla ice cream, toffee crunch and caramel. Again at £4.50 and £4.95 there were no complaints from us and as we sat back in the pleasant surroundings digesting a fab lunch not wanting to move we were struck with how we had to let you stags and hens know.
So be it a Hen Party in Manchester or Manchester Hen Weekend get down to the Trafford Centre for spot of shopping and Italian excellence at Est! We are glad we went!!

Watersports for Stags and Hens in Manchester
It has been a while since the Stag and Hen Manchester team have hit the blogosphere but we are happy to be back with plenty of news for Stags and Hens coming to Manchester. First and foremost the introduction of some watersports activities to the list of available Stag and Hen activities we offer here in Manchester.
Long gone are the days where you all have to sit on a coach and travel for hours out of the centre of Manchester where the action is at as the waters of Salford Quays and its watersports centre are only a short tram ride and walk away. Close to the location of the famous Manchester landmarks of the Lowry centre and Old Trafford are a series of quays which are a perfect environment for the beginners or pros amongst you. With that in mind we looked at what we could offer and have started with four activities with the possibility of two more exciting and fun options to follow.
Stag Sailing or Hen Sailing in Manchester
The first activity we are offering is Sailing. The small Dinghy boats as used by Olympic sailing stars like Ben Ainslie will provide you with something completely different to offer your stags and hens when you sit down to discuss that Manchester Stag Party or Manchester Hen Party activity. The Laser Pico boats can provide a beginner with a fun start to sailing or an expert the opportunity to tweak some existing skills. Hens or Stags you could continue the theme onto your night out and dress up as sailors or admirals.
Stag Kayaking or Hen Kayaking in Manchester
The second activity is Manchester kayaking. Whether it be a kayak expedition to see the sights and sounds of the urban landscape of Salford Quays like the final stages of construction of BBC’s Media City or a game of kayak Polo this fun and easy to do activity is again something very different and fun to offer your prospective stags and hens on a Manchester stag weekend or Manchester hen weekend.
Stag Canoeing or Hen Canoeing in Manchester
The third activity is Manchester Canoeing. Canoes are open topped kayaks essentially and you can learn the basics and be paddling like an explorer in no time or again head out with your instructor to head around the quays on a canoe expedition. Why not get dressed up as explorers before you arrive? Stick the stag in a Ray Mears outfit perhaps?
Stag Windsurfing and Hen Windsurfing in Manchester
The fourth activity is Manchester Windsurfing. Just because you aren’t at the beach with sets of waves heading towards you doesn’t mean you can’t windsurf and the breezy nature of Salford Quays mean you can be up and running in no time at all. This one isn’t for the weaker ones amongst you as getting up on your board takes some strength and persistence!!!
All activities are a set price for a group of a maximum of 8 people and last for 90 minutes to include 15 minutes safety and introduction briefing and 15 minutes to pack the gear away which leaves a solid hour on the water. All instructors are fully trained and the centre we used is also fully insured meaning a happy and wet day for all at the Watersports Centre.
Keep your eyes peeled for the arrival of Raft building and WOWBalls that are to come shortly. Check out the sneak pictures below.
Keep in touch as we will answer any and all queries

Customer Reviews of Stag and Hen Manchester
“ What to say about Stag and Hen Manchester! As a stressed best man charged with organising the enjoyment of a group of around 10 demanding blokes lads for a weekend, the prospect of booking events and venues at short notice in Manchester on a United weekend was daunting to say the least. As I was browsing around accommodation options I stumbled upon the Stag and Hen Manchester website which seemed to offer exactly what I was looking for: a one stop shop for the whole event. I called the team at SAHM and spoke to Mike Ferguson who is friendly and knowledgeable- Manchester is his home town and was able to reel of literally dozens of possibilities for a fun packed weekend. I knew immediately I was in safe hands. I had fairly exacting needs and wanted to tailor the package rather than following a set agenda. Within hours Mike had come back with a set of options for me which I was able to present to the guys.
I signed up for the deal and the whole booking process was straightforward and costs for the weekend were good value compared to what I could have done myself including the time taken. The accounting team are also very pleasant and easy to deal with and the whole transaction was completed very quickly.
For the stag weekend itself, Mike prepared a detailed itinerary for the weekend. Everything was arranged, taxis, hotels, events guest passes. It all went like clockwork. As the ultimate in customer service, Mike even turned up briefly at the main event (ice Luging) to make sure we were doing okay! The good news was despite two mad days and nights in one of the most exciting cities in England the stag ( survived) and enjoyed himself as did the rest of the guys.
I would confidently recommend SAHM for professionalism, cost and customer service for any stag do. As a relieved best man having delivered on the stag do, I only have my speech to worry about now J”

I’m still smiling now at how well it went and the fun that we had....and will be for a long time. We had comfort knowing that we could phone any of you to help solve a problem...even better that we didn’t need to. It will be a weekend to remember for all of us for the rest of our lives.
If we get some good photos, Katie & I will pass them on to you......there are some very funny ones!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
So if you are searching for customer reviews of Stag and Hen Manchester look no further and remember we are here to help you and give you that party in Manchester to remember!!

Sunday 8th May 2010 saw Stag and Hen Manchester exhibiting at the Cresta Court Hotel Altrincham Wedding Fayre. We made the decision to come down after a ringing endorsement from a group of Altrincham ladies who came on a hen weekend the weekend before.
“I’m still smiling now at how well it went and the fun that we had....and will be for a long time. We had comfort knowing that we could phone any of you to help solve a problem...even better that we didn’t need to. It will be a weekend to remember for all of us for the rest of our lives.”
We arrived early to discover we were in pride of place in one of three suites full of wedding suppliers and set up our stand as normal. The doors opened at 11am and the brides flooded in. The majority of them bringing their bridesmaids along with them and immediately deputised them to come talk to us about that perfect weekend in Manchester 30 minutes drive north.
The usual suspects kept cropping up. Firstly and foremostly that hen favourite the Manchester Spa Day or day in a health club and spa in Manchester and that hen party mecca the Manchester Birdcage. Some family hen parties were discussed as well with the idea of a champagne afternoon tea in Cloud 23 coming quite high up on the list of mothers of the bride and bridesmaids when they were involved.
Now the end of the Premier League Season happened to fall on this particular wedding fayre day so the stags that had come/been dragged out to the Altrincham Wedding Fayre needed cheering up and we did that with offers of complimentary limo ride to Manchester’s finest gentlemens club with free entry inside for any party they booked with us – out of earshot of the bride though!! That seemed to do the trick. Twin that with an array of adrenalin hunter activities like indoor skydiving, Manchester paintball and Manchester luging and Manchester tubing and they went home happier!
The bridal show at 1pm went off without a hitch and numerous stunning brides showed off the latest fashions and jewellery- (pictures) and we were proud to be part of the event that included wedding planners, florists, make up, jewellers, photographers, table linen providers and obligatory chocolate fountain provider.
We were disappointed to leave at 3pm but had to and went off home to start preparing proposals for those that wanted them from the fayre. Bring on Worcester Wedding Fayre later in the month as we thoroughly enjoy meeting all you stags and hens face to face.
