As the Winter Olympics come to a close keep the Golden feeling going with Stag and Hen Manchester

Been watching the Winter Olympics recently and sad they are coming to an end? Want to emulate our athletes efforts still and not sure how best to follow in Amy Williams footsteps? Well Stag and Hen Manchester are here to help keep that golden feeling going with a selection of Winter themed Manchester Stag and Hen activities.

Worry not Manchester can offer a selection of Winter themed Manchester Stag and Hen activities.

Situated only a short minibus ride away from your city centre stag accommodation or city centre hen accommodation in Manchester is the North West’s premier indoor snow centre The Chill Factor. Here both Stags and Hens can ski, snowboard , luge and go tubing and all for a very manageable cost.

With Manchester Skiing if you fancy yourself as a Chemmy Alcott and can already ski we have 90 minute lift passes available at only £25 or if you are like me and need a little tuition 45 minute learn to ski lessons are available on the smaller slope with a group of ten to each instructor again priced at £25. (if your numbers are under 10 sessions are non exclusive)

With Stag Snowboarding if the Snowboard cross is your level of snowboarding you can again opt for the 90 minute lift pass for the main slope or if you have been a skier and you want to try something new why not take a snowboard lesson on the smaller slope again with groups of ten being trained by one instructor for 45 minutes. (If your numbers are under 10 sessions are non exclusive)

Manchester Luging is the closest you will get to the Skeleton Bob that brought Amy Williams success and that involves sliding down a 60 metre ice slide at the side of the main slope. Each Manchester luging session is 45 minutes long and is for 16 people. ( Lower numbers will mean a non exclusive session) See which stag or hen can slide to the gold medal time!

The final option is the somewhat mad and mental Tubing- Ever gone on holiday and been towed behind a speed boat on a giant rubber ring. Right now picture that rubber ring at the top of a ski slope with you being pushed down the hill with no breaks and bam you have Manchester Tubing. This time the groups are 20 strong and again each session lasts for 45 minutes. (numbers under 20 will mean a non exclusive session)

So as you can see we can keep the Olympic spirit going so get in touch or simply follow us on Facebook and Twitter and we will help plan a Manchester Stag night or Manchester Hen nights to remember!!

Hilton Hotel Wedding Fayre February 28th 2010

Sunday February 28th 2010 began with a nervous check of the curtains after last weekends snow at Chester Racecourse Wedding Fayre but the sun was shining and we set off to the Liverpool Hilton Hotel Wedding Fayre to see all you lovely Liverpool ladies and reluctant grooms (Everton and Liverpool were playing).

The new Hilton hotel next to Liverpool One was the venue for this wedding fayre and we arrived in plenty of time to set up before the 11 Oclock start. We were joined by photographers galore, specialist cake makers, table linen specialists and the fantastic classical soprano singer Amanda Hayes who kept us fully entertained all day when we weren’t speaking to all you stags and hens.

Although the destinations offered by Easyjet out of Liverpool were a popular choice there were still a lot of you that preferred to go British and head an hour away by train for a Manchester Stag Weekend or Manchester Hen Weekend. And we applaud you as the flights are never as cheap as they seem and you get a much better experience when you go British.

Popular choices for your hen parties in Manchester were the ever popular Manchester Birdcage, Manchester Spa Day and somewhat surprisingly Indoor Skydiving. You are obviously a city of adrenalin seekers!

Popular choices for stag parties in Manchester were lapdancing, Manchester clay pigeon shooting and Golftorium and we will look forward to sending proposals out to those stags that enquired.

Once again on offer was the special offer of joining us on Twitter or Facebook to receive a free twin room per Manchester hen party or Manchester stag party booked with us. (T&C's apply) So why not follow us up until the date of your wedding and then you will receive the latest updates and information and ideas as you run up to your big day.

Next up is the Ramada Hotel Warwick wedding fayre on Sunday March 7th as we travel a little further a field to come and speak to you Stags and Hens in person and offer you some fantastic deals. It is all part of our continuing commitment to customer service and making your Stag and Hen Party as special as we can. After all you only do it once!

Wedding Fayre at The Hilton Hotel Liverpool Sunday 28 February 2010

Wedding Fayre at the Hilton Hotel Liverpool Sunday 28 February 2010

Hi all you brides and grooms and bridesmaids! Hope you’ve got this weekend’s wedding fayre at the Hilton in Liverpool in your diaries - doors open at 11 sharp so get yourselves up out of bed and come and talk to us.

Now we know that your wedding day is the all important day but you’ve got to get planning for your hen parties and stag weekends -we’ll be looking out for you to see what you’ve got in mind. If you’re not heading off abroad then Manchester is the place to be.

At Stag And Hen Manchester we’ve got all avenues covered. If you’re after an adrenalin rush then why not check out the latest craze to hit Manchester – indoor sky diving. You can choose between 2 minutes or 4 minutes in the tunnel - the equivalent to 3 and 6 dives out of a plane. Or if you’ve been inspired by the exciting snowcross events in Winter Olympics have a look at our skiing activites- great fun whether you’re a novice or an expert.

But if you prefer a slower pace of life then we’ll book you into a top class spa hotel and let the therapists sooth away all your cares with a Manchester spa day. With prices starting from as little as £65 for a half hour treatment and use of the facilities it’s within everyone’s budget. Or really push the boat out and go for a luxury pamper day with treatments lasting an hour. You get a glass of champagne and a light lunch with both packages – absolute heaven.

And we haven’t neglected to find a spa package for our less adventurous grooms. You can get a good workout in the gym at a city centre leisure club and then indulge in a full body massage.
But we all know that we’ve got to give the bride and groom an unforgettable send off on the big night out! There are a whole load of clubs and bars to choose from in Manchester in the Printworks area of the city or down at Deangate Locks. Grooms you need to check out the lapdancing clubs – they are sensational.
And brides we all know you’ll be heading for The Birdcage. We can arrange for you to have a table right in front of the stage so you won’t miss the fun of the Las Vegas style stage shows and then you can dance the night away with music from the 70.s 80’s, 90’s and present day. It’s a Hen party must!

So as you can see we’ve lots to talk to you about on Sunday at the Hilton Hotel in Liverpool which is itself a brilliant venue for wedding fayres. We look forward to seeing you at our stand where we’ll have some bottles on prosecco to give away in our prize draw so make sure you don’t miss out!

Sophisticated Hen Party In Manchester

When we were at the wedding fayre at Chester Racecourse on Sunday we were approached by a lady wanting to arrange a sophisticated hen party in Manchester. Other than specifying afternoon tea she wanted to leave it up to us to suggest what to do.

So what do sophisticated hens do on a Manchester hen weekend?

Well always keen to please our clients we have found a number of places to take afternoon tea. If you’d like to combine it with a spot of retail therapy then 2nd floor in Harvey Nichols is for you with views right across the city. Alternatively for true indulgence go for a champagne tea at a 5* hotel – definitely our idea of heaven!
And then our 5* Hen Spa Manchester springs to mind. What could be better than mini pamper day at a luxurious 5* city centre hotel with a glass of bubbly and a light lunch thrown in on a sophisticated hen party in Manchester? (prices star from only£65) Well the only thing we can think of that’s better is a deluxe pamper day with an 2 hours treatment! (prices star from only £140)

Then we thought of a cocktail masterclass in a smart bar in Manchester where you get to mix cocktails for each other and test your skill at throwing the shaker in the air. Don’t feel inhibited - here at Stag and Hen Manchester we all had a go and more than one of us dropped the shaker! Our favourite venue is Obsidian below the stunning 4* Arora situated right smack bang in the middle of the city centre. Its award winning mixologists are a must for every discerning Manchester Lady on a night out.

Or how about an evening at the casino? The casino in Manchester is decorated in beautiful art deco style so you can dine in luxury before trying your luck at the tables under the supervision of an in house croupier on our hen casino experience. Red or Black on the Roulette?, Got a lucky number?, or are you a wizard at the slots - this experience will allow you to try all three and hopefully walk away with your winning streak intact.

There are plenty of chic restaurants for a sophisticated hen party in Manchester to choose from ranging from the most opulent to minimalist modern in style serving traditional English cuisine to French Haute cuisine to finest oriental- the choice is your. All we can guarantee is that you won’t find better anywhere in Britain!

Something a bit different might be for you to stay in an apartment hotel and have a meal served in your apartment just for you with wines of your choice. And If magic takes your fancy we could arrange a visit from an amazing magician – you just won’t believe your eyes – we know we didn’t!

So if these ideas for a sophisticated hen party in Manchester appeal then drop us a line via our contact page on the web or give us a call on 0161 223 0417 and let’s get our heads together and create your perfect hen weekend in Manchester. And if you’ve got some different ideas share them with us on our blog or come and see us at the wedding fayre at the Hilton Hotel in Liverpool this Sunday.

21st February 2010- Stag and Hen Manchester at Chester Racecourse Wedding Fayre

What a fabulous day at Chester Racecourse wedding fayre was had by Stag and Hen Manchester and we have to say a big thank you to the organisers for battling on despite mother nature depositing more snow on us on Sunday morning. Then of course the bigger thank you to all those Brides and Grooms that came despite the weather aswell.

The event had everything from roaming tables to live ice sculpture to Owls trained to fly down and deliver the wedding rings and of course US!!!! Our stand number 40 proved to be a big hit with visitors throughout the day discussing all sorts of Manchester stag parties and hen parties in Manchester. It was mainly a day for the Brides but well done to all the grooms in attendance aswell.

The other thing that was very evident is how organised all you brides out there are as we had a lot of people at the Chester Racecourse Wedding Fayre talk to us about Manchester hen nights in 2012. The Manchester Birdcage does take bookings that far in advance and we can pretty much guarantee you availability at all our activities from a Manchester Spa Day to Manchester Go Karting to a night at the Belle Vue Dogs and of course many more on top of that. However we do know you might want to book so why not become a fan of us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter to keep in touch with developments all the way through until your event.

Our competition for bottles of champagne and the main prize of a night for two in a Manchester hotel with Manchester nightlife passes was also very well received at the Chester Racecourse Wedding Fayre and congratulations to Jacqueline Mcdermott our winner. We haven’t decided yet what we are offering at next weekend’s Wedding Fayre at the Liverpool Hilton on Sunday 28th February but it will be something similar.

The whole event simply proved to us that foreign Stag party trips and sun seeking hen parties are a thing of the past so bravo to the brides and grooms at Chester for going British!!!

Birdcage Manchester

So you’ve booked your ticket to Manchester, your accommodation and that perfect combination of hen activities for during the day– next you have to think “Where do I go for the perfect night out?” Well put simply the mecca for all hens visiting Manchester is The Birdcage nightclub opposite the popular Printworks complex in the city centre.

Well established as the premier hen party destination in Manchester the Birdcage will throw open its doors every Friday and Saturday night from 9p.m until late for an evening of Disco with hits from the 80’s, 90’s and now. Not enough? Okay how about throwing in every 40 minutes “David Dale and the Birdcage Starlets” - a Vegas style drag and showgirl cabaret performing amongst many other things tributes to great acts like Cher and Abba. Still not enough? How about a cheeky but lovable hostess whose sharp cut downs can have you and your friends in stitches? A state of the art sound and lighting system? Okay you get the picture.

The venue itself can hold up to 2000 people and trust us when we say on a Saturday it will do, so there are a few things to remember. Firstly drinks – if you are going to any one of the three bars get a couple of rounds in as the popularity of the venue will inevitably lead to queues. Either that or take advantage of the table service within the reserved seating but be aware it is not guaranteed and will stop shortly after 11pm. Secondly the atmosphere and disco will naturally mean that it’s noisy, so if you want to talk to one another all night this isn’t the place to go- it’s cabaret with disco not just cabaret. J

If you aren’t too much of a fan of large crowds then of the two nights arranging to go to the Birdcage on the Friday of your Manchester hen weekend is probably the more sensible option and can be easily arranged. We’ll organise your Birdcage tickets and set you up with guestlist access early evening to a venue in the popular Printworks so you can get a few pre Birdcage drinks in. Tickets on Friday tend to be cheaper as well at £8 for Q jump (which you must use before 11pm) and £12 for reserved seating (which must be used before 10pm). A VIP area is also available for larger groups.

If however you want to arrange a visit to the Manchester Birdcage on the Saturday night of your visit which the majority of hen parties in Manchester tend to try and do we will happily check availability and try and get you sorted. Prices are a little more expensive at £8 for Q jump (which you must use before 11pm) and £15 for reserved seating (which must be used before 10pm.) VIP is not available.

We are certainly fans and that is why we are offering it you as an activity in its own right or as part of your own uniquely built Manchester Hen party or shortly as part of a special package- keep checking the website for details. Tickets through us are at absolutely no extra cost at all as we have matched the Birdcage’s prices.

Send us your enquiry and we can start to help sort that perfect night in the Manchester Birdcage today.
